Stranger Than Usual
I am super excited to be working with Sarah Ward, Bec Matthews and Erica Pringle, who will form a live band performing my songs. The show was commissioned by Midsumma and will be at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne.
Although it's a music performance, it's designed for d/Deaf/HoH people with captions, sign singing, experimental vibrations, and music arranged in a way that suits those who wear hearing aids and cochlear implants.
I wrote the songs and music myself and this is my debut as a musician - gulp! I am incredibly lucky that Midsumma and Fat Fruit have joined forces to present my work and make this a reality.
