CC Plays: Monster Train 118 - Stealth
I get lucky in my playthrough of Monster Train. A large portion of the strategy of rogue-likes, especially those with shuffles decks of cards, is ways to mitigate how much the inherent randomness effects your success. This is why I constantly harp on making my deck more consistent and why I highly evaluate Holdover, Endless, and Frozen. However, as much as can be done to minimize luck-based outcomes, the randomness is still there throughout the experience and when things aren't going well my strategy turns from mitigation to reliance. On any normal day, I would have lost this run, but this day my luck brought me through.
