Homes.com Censured by BBB; Inflation Drops by a Mere 0.1% and More!
Joint us on this episode of the Real Estate Talk Podcast where we delve into the most recent inflation report where it showed that inflation fell by a mere 0.1%. While any decrease in inflation is a welcome sign to make the case for the Federal Reserve to start lowering interest rates, it may not do anything for interest rates in the near term. It's quite possibly that we may see one small reduction right before the November election.
Also in this episode, we provide commentary on Co-Star's Homes.com who have been censured for claims made about traffic on Homes.com ads. Co-Star group has complied with a request by the Better Business Bureau National Programs' National Advertising Division to cease claims in ads that its residential portal has doubled the traffic of competitor Realtor.com.
Realtor.com's parent company, Move, Inc. challenged Homes.com's claims that it has reached 156 million unique monthly visitors on its site and has double the unique monthly visitors of Realtor.com. The statistics are allegedly based on the Homes.com's network and not the Homes.com website alone, which boasts 110 million unique monthly visitors - a fact that is disclosed in small print on Homes.com ads.
