What Peace Means to Me: Mark Matthews
The UN International Day of Peace is 21 September, and our Club acknowledges the day at this luncheon with a focus on “What Peace Means to Me”.
This year’s UN International Day of Peace theme is “Cultivating a Culture of Peace”
The ideas of peace, the culture of peace, need to be cultivated in the minds of children and communities through formal and informal education, across countries and generations.
With a range of speakers and presentations, including the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, it will be an interactive day of sharing “What Peace Means to Me”.
Members’ perspectives will be included in a piece to recognise the role of our club’s efforts in peacebuilding.
