Night Shift in Emergency Room as 1st YEAR Resident
Although I’m an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery resident, there are 6 months during my intern year where I learn from other medical specialties that are related to my own (intern is the same thing as a 1st year resident). This month I am rotating in the Emergency Department. My role as a resident is to help diagnose and create a treatment plan for patients in the emergency setting, with one twist: I’m working the night shift!
