Delete duplicate contacts or photos in iOS16 and iPadOS16
Duplicated contacts or duplicated photos has been troublesome on the Apple iPhone and iPad for years - until now. With iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, you can now easily merge duplicated contacts or photos to help keep your digital life cleaner.
📇 For your contacts, iOS will want to just merge the two cards based on something that is similar between them, such as the full name, email or phone number. iOS does not give you the ability to see what content in the card you are merging, where as doing that on your Apple-based computer will.
📸 For your photos however you can see all the duplicate photos and merge them into one. This is really helpful when you import a bunch of data from older sources, such as old photos or SD cards.
