Vague Hope from NieR: Automata, reimagined as a jazz ballad by Critical Hit Quintet.

Originally composed by Keiichi Okabe, Vague Hope is one of the most emotional themes from the soundtrack of NieR: Automata. In this arrangement, the piece is transformed into a lyrical jazz ballad, exploring the harmony and atmosphere of the original through improvisation and a more traditional jazz ensemble setting.

This performance was recorded at Hos Naboen during a concert organized by Kristiansand Jazzclub in Kristiansand, Norway.

Critical Hit Quintet performs jazz arrangements of music from video games, exploring how iconic game melodies can be reimagined through improvisation, harmony and groove.
