NE Text Editor (Nice Editor)-An Alternative To Nano.
Nano a terminal based text editor ships with both Ubuntu and Debian. Also many other Linux operating systems also include it in their install. Or ship with other terminal based editors. The problem is that Nano is not user friendly at all. So here is an alternative. NE Editor also known as Nice Text Editor. Which is also terminal based. Here I test it out and and give you my opinion on it. For most users a GUI text editor such as Gedit , Pluma or other GUI editor is better. It is much safer to edit your files and do other admin tasks in Gedit or other GUI editors instead in a terminal. Terminal based applications are only for if you are either locked out or cannot boot to your desktop.
NE Text Editor is available on Debian from the package manager and also on Ubuntu.
