To the west of north Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland there sits a small collection of three largely forgotten islands, Known as eilen heisgeir or the Monach islands. Legend tells, that the lands of Monach were torn from uist in a storm of biblical proportions. The wilds winds and thunderous rains split the islands apart and cast them out into the sea. It was at this point, that many believe the spirit of that storm was bound to the future of those islands, and some would even tell that the wrath of the great storm did manifest itself as the dreaded each uisge of the Monach isles.
