I Love Amps! Is a series dedicate to showcasing the various vintage and boutique amps I have in my collection. We're kicking off the series with an iconic staple of the Matchless Amps catalog - the Matchless Lightning. At its core, the Lightning is a hot-rodded AC15 with that classic top-boost tone and texture. Plenty of chime and sparkle from the pair of EL84s create amazing, dynamic clean tones. The interactive bass and treble controls provide a ton of range for bright sparkly cleans to rich full tube saturation and breakup.
