Steam Brute 2-6-6-2
After 2-8-0 734 was retired in 2016, the Western Maryland Scenic Railway was diesel-only. However, after a multi-year restoration, former C&O 2-6-6-2 1309 brought steam back to these historic rails. This past weekend, I headed over to Cumberland, and chased this Mallet-type steam engine up to Frostburg and back. It's amazing watching the brute stretch its legs!
