Thank you for watching. Sunday’s Child is an ode to my daughter, Maisie. So much of my music has been inspired by stories uncovered from my family's history and my desire to engage with the past, preserving memories. I have carried the clip of two-year-old Maisie singing with me on my phone for years now; she will be turning nine on the day this record is released. It has been such a privilege watching her grow and enjoying the playful, honest innocence of childhood in our home. As she grows and understands herself and the world around her more, some of that innocence is being left in the past, but is being replaced with her sensitivity, humour, intellect and curiosity.
