Sheba's first snow
Sheba has been with me since November of 2019, but I have never been able to show her snow. As far as I know, she never has seen it. I wanted to get that reaction on camera, and she did something I didn't expect!
In the early morning of January 28th, 2021, a snowstorm dropped about an inch of snow. That is a bit rare in this area, so it was such a refreshing change. The cold bothers me, but I will put up with it to see this!
I apologise for the uneven video. I was recording with one hand, and I'm very weak. The other bit was when I was attaching her run cable to a ground post. We didn't stay outside more than a couple of minutes after I turned off the video.

Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to Sheba today. It was an extremely difficult decision, but it was the one which made sense after watching her decline accelerate in the past two weeks. Her chronic kidney failure, which we managed for roughly three years, quickly turned into acute kidney failure. My brother and I did everything we could to keep her comfortable, to remind her she was loved. She went quickly and peacefully with no pain. This house feels empty without her, but I know I will carry her with me until the end of my days. Maybe she might even be waiting for me on the other side. Thank you for your support on my journey with Sheba.
