Sony FE 2.8/100mm STF GM OSS Lens - Short Review with example shots
A short review video of Sony's FE 2.8/100mm STF GM OSS Lens. Originally released 6 years ago in 2017, this lens provides amazing quality images and incredible bokeh. This is probably one of the most underrated lenses in Sony's lineup for E-mount, so I wanted to give it a little praise here. In this video, I talk about some of the different features this lens has over other 100mm prime lenses and do an exposure/bokeh comparison to a 70-200 GM 2.8 zoom lens. Not exactly a fair comparison, but I didn't have another 100mm lens to compare to, and I wanted something with the same focal length. This is not a comprehensive review, but it highlights a few of the nice features of the lens. As I mention in the video, this lens shines when used as a portrait lens in good lighting conditions, but suffers in low light due to the apodization filter and effective F-stop of 5.6. I've owned this lens for a while and when conditions are right, it's one of my favorite lenses to work with. Thanks for watching!
