"PABLO. A Very Personal Portrait " by Bas Andriessen
Today, april 8 in 2023, as I upload this clip, it is exactly 50 years ago that PABLO PICASSO died. Because I can't describe in words how important this giant artist is in my life, I decided to make this very personal (kind-of-a-) videoportrait of him with lots of images I shot myself in Musée Picasso in Paris in 2014 and 2022. And with new music I 'comprovised' specially for the occasion.
The text in the clip consists out of quotes by Picasso, selected & read by me (BA). The music was played on march 21 of this year (2023). The video was edited in april 2023.
