Exploring | Camping in the high country - Mackenzie Basin in winter
Hey team, welcome to Tekapo and Twizel 2 quite parts of New Zealand with stunning mountain and lake Scenery.
We were here in some average conditions, with low cloud and very mild days, which was nice after some very cold weather while we were up at the Ashburton lakes.
There's a lot to do in these areas if you enjoy the great outdoors. loads of hiking and biking trails, fishing, swimming, but pretty minimal when it comes to infrastructure and you def notice the prices going up.
