【Miriam】 Last Stop【VOCALOID original】 (remastered)
You know this thing when you like how one of your works might have turned out but hate how it did turn out. Well, that's the case. Not saying it turned out perfectly this time (considering that I broke my headphones halfway through mixing and had to replace them with a very weird-sounding model) but I'm much more satisfied with this than with its earlier version. First of all, I finally got rid of that one obnoxious guitar and changed it to a softer and more electronic instrument which made it closer to what I had in mind initially. I also changed lyrics a little closer to the end so it wouldn't be so repetitive. Was reluctant to add harmonies till the very end but really glad I did that. My only concern is that new headphones mght have distorted sound for me so it doesn't actually sound as good as I think it does eheh.......well let's hope
So, once again, I didn't really have anything specific in mind when I came up with this song, just wanted to capture feelings I usually get when riding a bus to long distances late in the evening, people leaving it one by one, so right before the last stop it's almost empty, and it feels so sad and peaceful and eerie and fills me with a variety of emotions and thoughts. The lyrics might sound as if they are implying something negative and well, you're free to interpret them as such, but idk it's a little complicated. I can't say for sure if I did or didn't imply whatever one might see in there. There's just a lot of things.
Anyway, I really hope you'll enjoy this upload since I kiiind of promised to try and update more often but I'm still going through the block so it's a little hard for me. Thank you for all the views on the initial version, I really appreciate it (and i'm equally embarrassed of it since it sounded really bad skjljfsaf)
