While working with a group of young people from London we collected a number of dandelion heads from the hedgerow which, together with Himalayan Birch bark, was enough to make a fire for some toasted marshmallows.
The dandelions had progressed through from their yellow, Spring, flower to the white head ready for seed dispersal.
I have left the audio un-edited as I think the excitement in the voices is quite an inspiring thing; the glee and nerves of doing something that they had never done before is perhaps a message for us to all push ourselves just a little further out of our comfort zones.
