Character Spotlight: Iofur Raknison, part 1
Hi friends! This week we dive into the world of His Dark Materials, and look at Iofur Raknison!
Iofur Raknison, named Ragnar Sturlusson for the movie, is the wrongful king of the Panserbjørn. He works alongside Mrs Coulter and the Magisterium, before he is overthrown and killed by Iorek Byrnison. Iofur is an unusual bear, as he is obsessed with getting a daemon. This obsession leads him to losing some of his bearness, allowing both Lyra and Iorek to trick him, something that is impossible against a true Panserbjørn.
