The Record-Breaking Funicular That Gets No Love
It's not even the most famous funicular in Bournemouth, but down on England's south coast lies a one-of-a-kind cable railway that has held a remarkable world record since it was first built in 1935.
Yes, the Fisherman's Walk Cliff Railway is the shortest funicular anywhere on the planet. But despite its unique attributes, this adorable little train gets almost no love, and even less recognition; multiple major travel publications have listed one in Croatia as the shortest in the world, despite it being almost twice the length of this one. So I decided to pay it a visit to see what's going on...
As a side note; this was the first video I filmed with my new camera back in 2023. As a result, there are a few technical errors that won't be present on later episodes. For example, I'm aware that the autofocus is having a nightmare, particular with the rainy conditions! Apologies for the inconvenience.
