Ever wanted to swim over traffic? First off that's a weird thing to wish for, and second I actually don't think you're allowed to do it here cos it's a busy waterway. Where was I going with this?

Anyway, if you're an avid social media user you might have seen clips of a unique little water feature where a tiny water bridge passes over a busy road. You might have even seen some ridiculously badly photoshopped videos of cruise ships passing through it even though it's barely deeper than three metres. Genius stuff.

In reality, it's a genius little project called the Veluwemeer Aqueduct. But where is it? How did they build it? And what's it like in person? I took a genuinely freezing cold trip across one of the world's greatest engineering projects - the Zuiderzee Works - to have take a closer look.
