Yogyakarta places to explore in 2 days | Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple
In this video, I'll be sharing my experience visiting Yogyakarta. With a tight schedule and only two days to explore, I started my journey by taking a Damri Bus from Jakarta International Airport to Gambir Railway Station in the city center. From there, I boarded an overnight train to Yogyakarta.
The Damri bus station is conveniently located just outside Terminal 2 of Jakarta International Airport, with additional stops at Terminals 1 and 3. This means you can catch the bus from any terminal. The service is more affordable than a shared cab, costing 80,000 IDR one way from the airport to Gambir Station. The bus drops you off right inside the railway station area.
I took an overnight train, which is an easy and convenient way to reach Yogyakarta. The journey takes just 6 hours and 20 minutes.

I always prefer to rent a vehicle and plan my trips independently, so I don't have to rely on anyone else for transportation. With that in mind, I booked a Honda PCX 160 scooter from a local bike rental shop near the Yogyakarta railway station.
