What is patriotism?
We sing about it in our national anthem and show it on national holidays, or when our national soccer team wins a game and we adorn our national colours.
Patriotism is what has held us together as a nation; why we don’t fight and disintegrate like other nations.
It is a deep love for our motherland and what it possesses and stands for. We must uphold it and teach it to our children, so that they can teach theirs.
How can we do that?
We must always celebrate our achievements together.
Look around you, there have been many moments that have made us really proud as a nation.
As President, I have my own proudly Zambian moments – actually many of them, and I will be sharing some of them with you.
