HK 500 CMT First forward flight
This is my first ever 500 size heli flight. 5th collective pitch session.
Took along my Blade 400 to be used as a warm up to 500 and did a few back flips, this time using negative pitch.
Wasn't in the zone today felt really clumsy with the fingers (it was a bit cold) I think I was very apprehensive about flying the 500, wasn't sure about the gyro gain, its set to 54% in order to stop the wagging, but I think its too low, so I knew there would be issues. On top of that, I had the same thing happen to me, as did the 450GT...the tail shaft was covered in grease and grit causing binding....dismantled it and cleaned all the grease off, the bearings are sealed and should be lubricated.
Anyone got any ideas about the low gain?
(servo ball link is as close to the servo shaft as possible..have a fast servo Futaba s9257, so it must be the gyro 401B, or vibrations...loosened the belt slightly as well)
