Delegates, elected officials, farmers, and industry representatives gathered in Chicago for the Democratic National Convention this week. We dove into discussions about what a Harris-Walz administration would mean for agriculture, climate policy, farm labor, environmental regulations and tax policy.

Cheri Bustos, a former congresswoman from rural Illinois and former chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, joined the show to discuss rural voter perspective during this election cycle. She added her experience working with Walz as a colleague on the House Ag Committee.

Next week, we’ll bring you a special Newsmakers episode from the Farm Progress Show.
