Here I'm taking a super dense version of a model (around a million+ tris) and sculpting detail onto it and then baking that detail onto a low poly (7~k tris) version of the same model.
I've just started learning how to do this as of yesterday and it's really a lot of fun! Up until now I've always used unoptimized versions of my models in my games and actually drew the normal maps myself in Gimp.
I never liked the process of retopology.
But recently I found a plugin for Blender called Retopoflow that has made the retopology process painless. So now my games can be better optimized and they can have much better quality of detail! Win-win!
