String Functions in Mathcad Prime
This video is an introduction to PTC Mathcad Prime's strings and string functions, including converting to and from strings.
This video covers:
• strlen (string length, returns the number of characters in your string)
• substr (substring, returns part of the string that you define)
• search (which character a given substring starts)
• concat (concatenate, to combine two or more strings into one string)
• str2num and num2str (converts strings to numbers and numbers to strings)
• str2vec and vec2str (converts strings to vectors and vectors to strings, based on UNICODE values)
You can also use strings to return messages or error messages with the if command or as the result of programs.
