Ceršak Bridge installed / Most Ceršak preko Mure je zgrajen

The installation of the Ceršak Bridge superstructure, consisting of two parallel 87.6-meter long glulam timber girders, was completed on Sunday, 31. 8. 2025. The installation was carried out in a single move, with a 650-ton crane, without temporary supports in the riverbed, directly onto the suspended cables. Lifting, positioning and assembly (bearings connections, tension-rod-attachments to the main bearing cables and tensioning) of the bridge took approximately 12 hours. The geometry of the almost 90-meter-long bridge (pre-camber) and the forces in the suspension cables were carried out exactly within the predetermined calculation values.

Once completed, the new wooden suspension footbridge will connect Slovenia (Ceršak) and Austria (Straß). It will be the main link over the bordering Mura River, along the international cyclist’s path between the border crossing point Šentilj/Spielfeld and the bridge in Črnci near Gornja Radgona, more than 20 km downstream.

The bridge consists of two (H/B = 128/28 cm) parallel GL28h glulam timber beams, suspended with high-strength FLC-cables, via steel frames and tension-rods. The FLC bearing cables are attached at the tips of the V-shaped concrete pylons at the abutments, on either side of the Mura River. The wooden bearing structure is structurally weather-protected with wooden panels (larch, Accoya), anti-insect nets and stainless-steel lids. The deck is also wooden, made of cross-laid grooved Accoya boards.

The total length of the bridge, approach ramps included, is approximately 96 meters, the clear structural span amounts 86.0 meters, span of the bearing cables 90.6 meters. The clear width of the bridge is 3.5 m, and the total width 4.60 m.

The works were carried out by the companies Pomgrad, Teufelberger-Redaelli, BS VAR, Šušteršič, Up2Plan and Knuplež. Ponting Bridges designed the footbridge, and, due to complexity of the project, also provided site and construction supervision. The bridge is expected to be completed and set to open in late fall.

Following the placing of the steel bridge structure at Špica in Celje in November 2024, this is the second spectacular lift utilizing a large crane for the Ponting Bridges in recent months.

Montaža zgornje konstrukcije mostu Ceršak, ki jo sestavljata dva vzporedna 87,6 metra dolga lepljena lesena nosilca, je bila končana v nedeljo, 31. 8. 2025. Montaža je bila izvedena v enem samem koraku, s 650-tonskim žerjavom, brez začasnih podpor v strugi, neposredno na viseče nosilne vrvi. Dvigovanje, pozicioniranje in montaža (povezovanje ležišč, pritrditev vešalk na glavne nosilne vrvi in napenjanje) mostu je trajala približno 12 ur. Geometrija skoraj 90 metrov dolgega mostu (nadvišanje) in sile v visečih kablih so bile izvedene natančno znotraj vnaprej določenih računskih vrednosti.

Ko bo dokončan, bo nov lesen viseči most povezal Slovenijo (Ceršak) in Avstrijo (Straß). To bo glavna povezava čez mejno reko Muro, vzdolž mednarodne kolesarske poti med mejnim prehodom Šentilj/Spielfeld in mostom v Črncih pri Gornji Radgoni, več kot 20 km nižje dol vodno.

Most je sestavljen iz dveh (H/B = 128/28 cm) vzporednih lepljenih lesenih nosilcev GL28h, obešenih na FLC jeklene vrvi visoke trdnosti, preko jeklenih okvirjev in vešalk. Nosilne FLC-vrvi so sidrane na konicah betonskih pilonov v obliki črke V na opornikih, na obeh straneh reke Mure. Lesena nosilna konstrukcija je konstrukcijsko zaščitena pred vremenskimi vplivi z lesenimi opaži (macesen, Accoya), proti-mrčesnimi mrežami in pokrovom iz nerjavečega jekla. Pohodna površina je prav tako lesena, izdelana iz prečno položenih profiliranih Accoya desk.

Skupna dolžina mostu z vstopnimi rampami znaša približno 96 metrov, čistega konstrukcijskega razpona je 86 metrov, razpon glavnih nosilnih vrvi pa znaša 90.6 metra. Svetla širina mostu znaša tri metre in pol, skupna širina pa 4,6 metra.

Dela so izvedla podjetja Pomgrad, Teufelberger-Redaelli, Šušteršič, BS VAR, Up2Plan in Knuplež. Most smo projektirali v inženirskem biroju Ponting, zaradi zahtevnosti projekta smo v celoti prevzeli tudi gradbeni nadzor. Most naj bi bil dokončan in odprt do konca letošnje jeseni.

Gre za drugi impresiven dvig s pomočjo velikega dvigala za inženirski biro Ponting v zadnjem času, po dvigu jeklene konstrukcije mosta pri Špici v Celju novembra 2024.
