How to Generate an SSH Public Key from a Private Key file
In this quick tip we use ssh-keygen to create public key file from a private key downloaded from Amazon.
We use ssh-keygen and a couple of flags '-f' to pass in a file and '-y' to derive a public file from the passed in private .pem file. Finally you can shove the output of this command into a .pub file for future use.
