Goldcrest Palace — 100% (Extreme Demon) by GrenadeOfTacos
Well that was disappointing.
Goldcrest Palace is a level made by GrenadeOfTacos that showcases its ability to be unique and beautiful only using 1.9 objects. I would say its best attribute is the song choice and the theming, they're both very solid and are bright spots for sure. Now onto the not so great things... gameplay. The gameplay is just weird. Weird in a sense where it feels like it should be fun, but is more frustrating than anything. It feels like it should be consistent, but a lot of parts aren't. This level would've gotten a 7-8/10 if it wasn't for the awkward wave at 36%, that wave while being so short is so inconsistent, creating a massive mind block. The rest of the level is pretty balanced, it's just the awkwardness throughout that just never sat right with me. Which is a shame, because I believe this could've been up there as one of my top favorite completions. Not sure if I recommend this one.
