Fracture in shale sample after the triaxial test
The following video will demonstrate a scenario after applying 100 to 500 psi on a shale sample in the triaxial test. X-ray computed tomography demonstrates fracture development and 3D orientation of fracture. Here I used the x-ray microCT data from Jeffery Luo ( The university of texas at Austin). Here I processed the X-ray micro CT images and developed a 3D model of a fracture.
