How to Remove Eye Stitches
When we use sutures in eye surgery, patients often ask, “How do you remove eye sutures?”
This is a tiny 10-0 nylon suture that was used to secure a corneal incision.
To make sure the procedure is pain free, we give topical anesthetic eye drops, like proparacaine, that numb the eye.
The suture is cut and precision forceps are used to remove the stitch.
