air show accident 05.31.15 -- two planes crash
Two ultralights fall into the water, not far from the shore, before the start of the Frecce Tricolori air show. It happened around 4.30pm in front of the Garden beach. Two single-seater propeller-driven aircraft, for reasons yet to be ascertained, ended up in the water. The rescue machine was immediately activated and a pilot of one of the two ultralights was recovered and transported to the hospital. We are looking for the other person who was on board the second plane which, according to some witnesses, appears to have sunk. UPDATES FOLLOW.
