Build a Simple Table in Tableu || Step by Step || Tableau
Hi Guys,
There are mentioned steps, which need to be follow.
Step 1:- Open Tableau Desktop Application
Step 2:- Select Data source file type & Click on
Step 3:- Go to Specific Location in your system, Where file is located
Step 4:- Then Choose the file & Click ok
Step 5:- Now, Select the sheet
Step 6:- And drag & drop in white space area (If downside in white space area row data is showing, Then your data is successfully imported in Tableau)
Step 7:- Now, Go to sheet 1 (Where we create a Table using imported data file)
Step 8:- Now, Select dimensions, which you want used in Table in row position
Step 9:- And drag & drop in row shelf
Step 10:-Again, Select another dimensions, which you want used in Table in column position
Step 11:-And drag & drop in column shelf
Step 12:-Now you need to select Measure, which you want to add in Table as a value
Step 13:-And drag & drop in Abc portion.
Step 14:-Go to upper side, There is showing a little triangle, Click on triangle, Showing a list of options,
Step 15:-Now click on "Calculated Field"
Step 16:-Enter field Name "Anything", Now Type Formula "Index()",
Step 17:-And press Apply.
Step 18:-Now, Select Calculated field "Which you have created"
Step 19:-And Right Click, Now there are showing multiple options.
Step 20:-And select "Convert to Discrete"
Step 21:-Now, Select calculated field, And drag & drop in row shelf (But the field position should be first in row shelf)
Step 22:-Right click on calculated field in row shelf.
Step 23:-And select "Compute Using" and again Select "Table (Down)"
Step 24:-Again Right click on calculated field
Step 25:-And uncheck "Show Header" (Then Index will hide)
And Finally, Your table view is created...
