In this video, Jono explores the Amp and Filter Envelopes within Retro Synth. Once you've understood the available parameters here, you'll be able to apply them to many other synths too, as Envelopes usually behave the same way from one synth to the next. What we'll discover is that without changing the paramters of the core Oscillator, Filter and Amp stages in the upper section of the instrument, we can hugely affect the way a bassline sounds, simply by shaping how its tone and volume stages are modulated over time. Ever wondered what Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release actually do? Here's your chance to find out.
