AL-Go Repository Setup for Business Central: From Template to First Release

Setting up a new Business Central project with AL-Go covers more ground than just clicking "Use this template." This stream walks through the full path: choosing the right AL-Go template (PTE, AppSource, or Actions), creating the repository, adding app and test app scaffolding via built-in GitHub Actions workflows, and wiring up the initial settings.json — all before writing a single line of AL code.

Once the basics are in place, the real configuration work starts. That means shared ruleset files hosted in a central GitHub repository so rule changes propagate across all your projects automatically, adding LinterCop and all four built-in code analyzers to the workspace, and configuring environment deployment targets in AL-Go settings. Organization-level settings via the ALGOORGSETTINGS repository variable let you define runners, artifact cadence, customCodeCops, and appDependencyProbingPaths once and inherit them everywhere.

The stream wraps up with deployment secrets (GHTOKENWORKFLOW and per-environment AUTHCONTEXT), creating the first release with a release branch, and running "Publish To Environment" — including how to handle hotfixes on a release branch.

Streaming all kinds of coding for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
