Surfboard shaper and master lensman, Mickey McCarthy was a father figure to generations of surfers. He shaped my first custom. Even shaped me a foam skimboard before they were available commercially. I designed his logo and airbrushed thousands of boards for him in the 80's and 90's. He captured countless of us surfing, and I am so glad to be able to pay this small tribute to him.
