"Your Song" is a song written by musician Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin, and performed by Elton John.
It was Elton John's first international Top 10 chart single.
"Your Song" was first released by American rock band 'Three Dog Night' in March 1970 as an album track on ' It Ain't Easy '.
Elton John was an opening act for the band at the time and he allowed them to record it. They did'nt release it as a single as they wanted to let Elton John, then an upcoming artist, have a go with it.
Elton John's version was recorded at Trident Studios in London in January 1970............THE REST IS HISTORY !

I played my Fender Stratocaster guitar, into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen USB Audio Interface, then into a 'Reaper Mixing Software' programme to record the sound whilst playing to the backing track of :- 'Your Song'
Using Reaper & Guitar Rig, I produced the desired sound required and saved the finished soundtrack to my computer as a MP3 file.
Then I placed the camera footage onto the timeline in CyberLink PowerDirector19, 'BUT' I replaced the camera soundtrack with the 'NEW'
computer mixed soundtrack from Reaper and Guitar Rig, re-edited the footage to produce the finished video of :- 'Your Song'
