"I'm an optimistic realistic who knows that gratitude is so much more than a hashtag."
A staunch believer in diversity and inclusion, Lisa Cox is extremely passionate about facilitating diversity conversations in the workplace. She is actively changing the way disability is portrayed in mainstream Australian media. With every reason under the sun to give up, Lisa defied the odds and recovered with some physical and emotional scars that fail to reflect the difficult battle she won.
After recovering, she hit restart and started reconquering her goals again, becoming a multi award-winning author and public speaker, and challenging the lack of inclusion for people with disabilities in the media. Lisa's mission is to educate people, challenge the status quo, and create sustainable change in the way disability is represented. Her work has been published nationally and internationally for publications like Harper's Bazaar, The Sydney Morning Herald, and Huffington Post.
