Eagle Rock Shelter Petroglyphs EP 44
In this episode;
We drive out to the Eagle Rock Shelter Petroglyphs in the Gunnison Gorge Conservation area in Colorado (Western Slope). The drive has some very scenic views. The hike (mild to moderate) is roughly ¼ mile down to the site which is along the Gunnison River. They have estimated the site to be roughly 13,000 years old and you can see quite a few petroglyphs. This is the oldest archeological site of Native American groups in North America. Along the trail we see desert cactus and plants blooming. There is even an appearance by a group of Desert Bighorn Sheep.
