Haeundae Blueline Park Busan Korea. Haeundae Blueline Park was originally The Donghae Nambu Line. The Donghae Nambu Line was first opened in 1935 during the Japanese colonial period (1910-1945). In 2013, the Donghae Nambu Line was discontinued after the decision to construct an electrified double-tracked railway. Construction for Busan Green Railway started in 2015 and the Haeundae Blueline Park was later opened to the public in October 2020. Haeundae takes its name from the ninth-century Silla scholar and poet Choi Chi-won. His literary name was Haeun, or "Sea and Clouds").
Haeundae Beach Train is the original train route that travels along a 4.8 km section of track from Haeundae Mipo station through Dalmaji tunnel, Pass Daritdol Observatory, Gudeockpo village, and Cheongsapo stations to Songjeong station. It is about a 30-minute trip one way. The beach train is more of a family experience. The cost for a round-trip pass is $9 USD, per person.
