2014 marks the 125th anniversary of MECCO, founded in 1889 as M.E. Cunningham Co.
Founded in 1889 as M.E. Cunningham Co., 2014 marks MECCO's 125th anniversary for a company that has led the way in industrial product marking and identification systems as marking techniques evolved from steel stamps to lasers.
MECCO recently introduced its patent-pending EtherMark technology, which allows marking systems to communicate directly with factory-floor PLCs. The new technology reduces custom programming and eliminates the need for fragile PCs on the shop floor, saving time and money.
Ground-breaking, innovative technology has been a constant at MECCO. Frank Speicher Sr. bought controlling interest in the company in 1924 and introduced the steel stamp and other metal marking product manufacturing.
