Ani Cathedral in a rain-hail storm #2
Traveling through eastern Turkey, one comes across these magnificent ruined medieval cathedrals, such as the Ani Cathedral. In crazy stormy weather, the walls sheltered us even as rain pelted the paving stones of the nave through an empty hole where the dome once projected skyward.
