A Litany of Penitence
This video contains a modern litany of penitence translated into the Early West Saxon dialect of Old English.
It uses simple language to express common thoughts and actions that are a part of our daily lives and so by translating these into Old English the aim is to improve our ability to converse in the language of our ancestors. It includes a brief analysis of some of the grammar of the translation.
