In this video we will look at the evidence that supports the claims concerning word order in Old English that I have made in this series. So for this video I will be using some text from Bede’s Ecclesiastical History of the English People as well as the text of the story of Cynewulf and Cyneheard as given in Peter Baker’s wonderful book, Introduction To Old English, Third Edition.
