Museum of Soap and the History of Dirt, Bydgoszcz
"Should I wash or should I air myself?" people supposedly wondered in ancient times. Fear of the harmful effects of bathing also underpinned the belief that "frequent washing shortens life." Common sense and modern knowledge suggest the opposite, but—as always—moderation is recommended even when bathing.
