Did Hassan Nasrallah die or not?
No problem, this news may be shocking to many, and perhaps sad for the supporters of the Resistance Alliance, or joyful for others who are gloating over the party and Iran, but in reality, it is a secondary issue.
Secondary for a simple reason: unlike many journalists or influencers, I do not focus on emotions; I focus on one aspect: the economy and its relation to people.
In short, if Hassan dies, a successor will come; this is customary among radical Islamic groups, whether Sunni or Shia.
The real dilemma for Hezbollah is that it has lost its treasury; the large vault where the salaries of its members are stored was destroyed during the killing of Nasrallah and the leaders with him.
Of course, someone might argue that the extremist fighter, or the jihadist, or the one resentful of Israel will fight seeking revenge. Yes, they may fight for a month or two, but they will not receive a salary.
Typically, in ideological groups, a fighter might endure five to six months without pay, but in the Lebanese context, the situation is different. Many Lebanese families have lost their savings in Lebanese banks, and the families of the fighters have lost their homes and properties.
