Just reading the book
To achieve a perfect unity in doctrine and be like minded, saints (Christians) must learn to leave off all doubtful argumentations, become unified on the point of not judging each other regarding things not written and agree on things that are written. (Rom. 15:1-7; 2 Tim. 2:15; Col. 3:16-17; Eph. 4:1-15.)
We must apply the same principle and grammatical rules to the bible, and exercise common sense and reason with it as with other books - Organ of sense, as the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, palate, fingers, and the nervous system in general (Heb 5: 14.)
When the language cannot be taken literally, we know it is figuratively. We should then get the literal truth conveyed by the figurative language. (Romans 15: 1-7, emphasis on vs 4)
