Everyone has been asking what a typical day looks like for me, so her e you go! Things are pretty crazy right now between running an online business, running local boot camps, and even more importantly, taking care of my duties as a wife and mom.
For me, fitness is all about living a healthy, happy & balanced life, so I practice fitting fitness into my daily life and modeling healthy habits for my kids while still keeping my family a priority.
Here's a look at a day in the life....
5:00am: Wake up, pump a bottle for Warren (yep, still breastfeeding!), grab my coffee & BCAAs and head out the door to teach Bikini Boot Camp. (If you're local to New Bern, NC, come check it out and join us: http://beyondfitmom.com/bikini-boot-c... if you're not local, you can join us here: www.beyondfitlife.com)
6:30am-7am BOOT CAMP TIME!
7:00am- Head home (I love catching the beautiful sunrise), set my goals for the day, check in on email, social media, etc. (More coffee & BCAAs)
8:00am- Grab breakfast! Our breakfasts vary from day to day but always include some protein and usually some fresh fruit. Protein pancakes, protein waffles, breakfast cookies, or (like this morning) a quick protein shake on the run....
9:00am- On our way to a MOPS group for a fun time of fellowship and connecting with other mamas and kiddos.
11:30am: Ran by the grocery to pick up some things for lunch and dinner. I had a protein bar in the car on our way to the store to avoid shopping hungry. Typically I do meal prep before the start of a busy week, but I haven't had time to do that yet, so.... plan B! Stop at the grocery for a healthy lunch (rotisserie chicken, salad, and some free fruit & veggies) and ingredients for dinner (shredded mexican chicken in the crock post made with fajita veggies in a low carb wrap).
12:00pm: On our way home to put away groceries, throw dinner in the crock pot, and make a quick & healthy picnic lunch before a play date at the park!
1:00pm: We're home, dinner is in the crock pot and ready to go (see recipe below) and lunch is made! (Easiest lunch ever: slice rotisserie chicken to top a salad for mom and to eat plain for Jackson. Great with feta on a salad. Jackson will eat his with some grapes and carrots). Now time to pack up and head to the park!
2:00pm: After our healthy picnic lunch and some time playing on the playground, we're getting a 30 minute leisurely walk in (great to lower stress hormones!) I love leisurely walks as a way to rest, recover and prepare for my next day's weight training workout.
5:30pm: Dinner is ready in the crock pot! Use the shredded Mexican chicken to fill a low carb wrap, adding fajita veggies, cheese, greek yogurt, or any other toppings of choice for a healthy Mexican dinner night!
6:30pm: Family walk after dinner!
7:00pm: Fat loss friendly hot cocoa + time for our monthly BeyondFit Life Coaching Call! Each month we come together for a NEW online workshop to talk about training, nutrition, hormones and other fat loss tips & tricks. (www.beyondfitlife.com)
