Hi Guys in this video I will go over my 10 day gear setup for the upcoming Appalachian Trail Section Hike of Georgia. The Georgia section is 78.5 miles. This is a leisurely hike we only plan on doing about 8 miles a day our goal is to get out and enjoy the woods.
My total pack weight is 26 lbs Not exactly ultralight but I do not feel as though I'm making any sacrifices. 8.8lbs of that is food and water which gives me a base weight of 17.2 lbs I like to have it down to 15 lbs however on this trip with the forecast of wet weather 6 of the 10 days. I am bringing a change of clothes which adds a extra 23 oz. and a sleeping pad 12 oz.
My cook kit choice for this trip is 14oz.
BS 10 cm cook pot, BS 12oz. cup
BS 2.0 FE stove, BS 1.1 ADJ. Stove
CF windscreen, 2 cup bowl, lighter, Cloth, Ditty bag.
The 10 cm is a good solo size and takes up less volume I like to carry this when I'm solo.
